CATCH THE SNOW & CATCH THE FUN AT SAPPORO SNOW FESTIVAL.
THE MOST POPULAR SNOW EVENT IN JAPAN HELD ANNUALLY FEBRUARY 05-11.
This is the most wonderful winter festival designed to warm and tickle everyone’s heart. The Sapporo Snow Festival takes place in Hokkaido, the northern island of Japan. The snow and ice sculptures are displayed at several different locations in Sapporo City and ODORI Park being the main festival site. From its very humble beginning in the 1950s, where a group of school children built half a dozen statues out of snow and ice, it has now turned into a weeklong festival with numerous spectacular sculptures built with a different International theme every year.
